Shopify just gave you an AI co-founder

Big updates out of Shopify’s Editions launch this week… the latest updates are all powered by AI.

Here’s the new toolbox:

✅ AI Store Builder. All you have to do is type “premium golf apparel for lefties” and you get a full storefront in seconds
✅ AI Banner + Section Generator. Describe the look you want, and it codes it
✅ Sidekick Gets a Glow-Up. Now with voice chat + screen sharing
✅ New Theme “Horizon”. With plug-and-play Theme Blocks + built-in AI customization

While we’re still waiting for these updates in the UK and other parts of the word, it looks like Shopify is trying to “help” us spend less time building and more time selling.

However, not everyone sounds exactly impressed.

Growth Hack: Mo’ fire to your Father’s Day campaign

Father’s Day is around 2 weeks away. That means that you should have your Father’s Day campaign locked and loaded

If you haven’t yet done this, here’s a quick action plan you can kickstart from tomorrow.

Step 1: Get your creatives in order
UGC-style videos: e.g “I got this for my dad and here’s his reaction.”
Bundles: Rename a best-seller pack e.g “Tech dad starter pack”
Hero Banners: Swap in “gifting for Father’s Day” imagery
Add-ons: Gift wrap, note, or card

Step 2: Switch up your messaging
Most dads aren’t shopping for themselves. Your message needs to hit the gift-giver. Examples:

  • “No guessing sizes. No pretending to like it. Just a gift he’ll actually use.”
(Ideal for DTC, tech, tools, or anything functional)

  • “If Dad says he doesn’t want anything, this is the loophole.”
(Great for younger audiences or brands with a playful voice)

Step 3: Create your targeted email segments

  • Create new segments for gift card buyers, last June shoppers, or folks who’ve messaged about gifts

Step 4: Launch Like It’s a Product Drop

Rather than send one email a week before Father’s Day, drop a 3-email sequence
🗓️ May 28–31 → “Early Access: Gifts That Make You Look Genius”
🕒 June 7–10 → “Order by Midnight or Risk a Late Gift” countdown
💳 June 13–15 → “Send a Digital Gift Card” (for late buyers)

🚀 Pro Tip: Test a campaign to actual dads—some might be shopping for their dad too. Change the angle, but don’t sleep on this audience.

Weekly Challenge: Get creatives on tap

If turning ideas into pro visuals is your bottleneck, time to fix that. Get a system in place to turnaround designs in 1- 3 days with a full design team, not just one designer. That system is what Design Pickle offers.

Here’s how it works:

Great for:

  • Father’s Day banners & popups

  • Animated social ads

  • Email headers

  • Mobile-first landing pages

Think of it as your on-call creative team. Set it up this week and see the difference by next Monday.

P.S If you need funding to scale and expand your team size, is your answer.

The AI surveillance market is exploding. Search volume for “AI surveillance” is up 300%. This tech is used by Police, HOAs, private businesses, and even schools

Flock Safety (a startup in the space) is already a $3B business and they don’t cover it all!

What does this mean for Shopify sellers?

Opportunity: Sell into security-conscious niches: home protection, anti-theft, privacy tech, outdoor gear.
Product Ideas:

  • Decoy cameras

  • RF signal blockers

  • Stylish camera covers

  • Privacy phone cases

  • “Smart Home Security” bundles

Tip: Use Levanta to test the market with Amazon influencers

Smarter Growth for DTC Brands on Amazon

Ad spend keeps climbing. ROAS? Not so much.

The smartest Amazon sellers aren’t spending more—they’re spending smarter.

The Affiliate Shift Calculator models what could happen if you reallocated a portion of your ad budget into affiliate marketing.

Built for sellers doing $5M+ on Amazon.

That’s it for this week!
