Game changer #1: Shopify Capital Flex is live… instant, on-demand funding (US only)

Shopify just launched Capital Flex, a new funding option that gives merchants continuous access to working capital without reapplying every time you need cash.

Think of it as a credit line for ecommerce. Before, you’d have received a lump sum upfront, and have had to repay 51% before accessing more…

Now, you just get a dynamic credit limit that grows as your business grows.

This means that you can:

  • draw funds whenever you need them

  • only pay fees on what you draw

  • repay faster to save fees, or slower to protect cash flow

  • only have to apply once to get ongoing access to capital

Perfect for Q4 if you're planning inventory buys, paid ads scaling, seasonal product launches. If you’re not eligible for Shopify Capital, why not check out other funding solutions like 8fig and Wayflyer

P.S If you’re scaling on Meta, don’t waste capital duplicating old campaigns that worked pre- Andromeda update.

Change your Meta strategy and save yourself a fortune (in funds and mental health!). Here’s a free guide to the new update + examples working now

Gamechanger #2: Shop App now uses the Shopify Catalog (hello, SEO)

New upgrade: Shopify’s Shop App now pulls data directly from your Shopify Catalog.

This means that all your active online store products are now discoverable through the Shop app and other AI-powered shopping experiences (as long as they have an image, price, and product category).

This also means that your shop storefront can now be indexed by Google and Bing.

However, we’re finding that this is a raising a few questions in the community

  1. So far, no one knows if Shop App listings will cannibalize SEO traffic by ranking above store pages

  2. For merchants with products that need to be active in the online store but not on other channels (e.g wholesale products/pricing, POS only products etc), this is a HUGE headache as the code used to hide products on the Shop channel also hides it everywhere else.

Worth monitoring as this rolls out.

Find your customers on Roku this Black Friday

As with any digital ad campaign, the important thing is to reach streaming audiences who will convert. To that end, Roku’s self-service Ads Manager stands ready with powerful segmentation and targeting options. After all, you know your customers, and we know our streaming audience.

Worried it’s too late to spin up new Black Friday creative? With Roku Ads Manager, you can easily import and augment existing creative assets from your social channels. We also have AI-assisted upscaling, so every ad is primed for CTV.

Once you’ve done this, then you can easily set up A/B tests to flight different creative variants and Black Friday offers. If you’re a Shopify brand, you can even run shoppable ads directly on-screen so viewers can purchase with just a click of their Roku remote.

Bonus: we’re gifting you $5K in ad credits when you spend your first $5K on Roku Ads Manager. Just sign up and use code GET5K. Terms apply.

Growth Hack: Turn your reviews into revenue (before BFCM)

Your store already has one of the strongest conversion tools… and you’re probably ignoring it: reviews. Instead of leaving your reviews buried on product pages, hoping that customers stumble onto them turn them into a campaign like Tata Harper does

One thing I particularly like about this brand’s use of reviews is that they proceed to flood the front page with reviews, but vary review types so customers don’t find it overwhelming.

Here’s how you can one-up Tata Harper on its review game in the run up to BFCM:

  1. Use Stamped to audit your review library and find the products with the most reviews, the highest ratings, and the best story-driven or photo/video reviews

These are your conversion weapons.

  1. Lead with social proof in marketing Instead of pushing discounts early, push credibility.

Send emails like: “Why 500+ customers love our top-selling [Product]” or “Most-loved gifts of the season (according to real customers)”

  1. Add a section on your homepage: “Top Reviewed / Most-Loved Products”

People trust people, not claims.

  1. Use reviews in ads (right now) Run static ads featuring real reviews and star ratings to warm up audiences before BFCM traffic spikes. By the time your sale drops, customers already trust the product.

Weekly Challenge: Rejig Your Emails in 60 Minutes

Spend 60 minutes using Stamped to extract your reviews and turning them into marketing assets.

Trend: Microneedle Patches, The Next Skincare Gold Rush

Microneedle patches are tiny tech meets self-care. These self-adhesive patches deliver active ingredients deep under the skin…pain-free but packed with results. But not just for customers. Here are examples of 3 sellers who are minting with this trend

  • Acne microneedle patch: $301K/month revenue on Amazon

  • Undereye wrinkle patch: $48K/month

  • Viral device (Medicube Age-R Booster): $29K/month

Microneedle patches sit inside the booming $80B anti-aging skincare market and they’re part of a larger “Advanced Wrinkle Treatments” meta trend.

How you can monetize this trend:

  1. Bundle microneedle patches with science-backed skincare tools (e.g derma rollers or serum boosters) to your store.

  2. Collaborate with estheticians or skincare influencers on Amazon for “day-to-night patch tests.” Use Levanta to find the right influencers to partner with
