AliExpress Launches Local+ to Cut European Delivery Times

AliExpress is just announced Local+, a new fulfillment solution designed for European merchants. The Chinese firm apparently acquired 10 warehouses across the UK, Spain, and Germany to handle local logistics in-house.

Until now, sellers in Europe had to manage their own shipping or rely on third-party providers. But with Local+, that changes.

Here’s what it offers:

  • Fulfillment directly from local warehouses

  • Delivery in as little as 7 days

  • Returns processed by AliExpress

  • A Local+ badge added to qualified product listings

If you’re dropshipping and are wondering what this looks like to your buyers… so far, one buyer reports receiving Local+ items in an Amazon-style box, via DHL.

This has become necessary for AliExpress to survive, because come 2028, the EU’s duty-free threshold on imports will be gone…. and additional import levies are likely coming. So local warehousing is the best way for the firm protect its EU business.

If you sell on marketplaces or dropship products to the EU, this is one to watch closely.

Growth Hack: The 60-second SEO fix you’re probably ignoring

Let’s talk about two overlooked fields in your Shopify backend:

  1. SEO Title

  2. Meta Description

They’re small. Easy to miss. But they directly impact how your product appears in Google’s results pages.

The issue is that many product pages auto-generate this text, often pulling messy, irrelevant snippets from the page. This leaves your chance of ranking to chance, and ow CTR even if you're ranking.

To fix this, use AI to instantly review and rewrite these fields. You can optimize them in bulk, and even automate based on top keywords. It’s this simple 👇

A strong meta description should:

  • Emphasize your top value prop

  • Include a call to action

  • Mention delivery time or return policy if relevant
