ChatGPT's (new!) ads platform could send customers to an AI salesperson
Happy Monday, Blazing Shopify rockstars!
Ada here, with your weekly dose of ecommerce insights designed to boost your store's sales by at least 1% this week.
Here is what is inside today's edition:
ChatGPT’s ads platform could soon send customers to an AI salesperson
Growth Hack: The one-line cart fix that could save the sale.
Weekly Challenge: Add a location-based shipping message in 60 minutes.
Trend: Rotating Car Seats and the Travel Gadgets for Parents wave.
Let's get into it.
ChatGPT ads could soon send customers to an AI salesperson
Ok, two things: 1. OpenAI has launched its own ad platform 2. It might replace the traditional landing page with a business-specific AI agent. (btw, unlike previously, you can now set an account up for your store)

Now, the twist here is that instead of clicking an ad and visiting your website, your shoppers could enter a ChatGPT conversation that answers questions, recommends products (hopefully without leaving your store!) and captures leads.
The system reportedly lets businesses build these agents using their website content, product feeds, live business data and custom instructions. In other words, the conversation becomes the landing page.
For Shopify merchants, this is a big shift to watch. Your product descriptions, FAQs, policies and product data could soon influence not just whether ChatGPT recommends you…but how it sells you. Make sure your store content is clear, detailed and AI-friendly now.
Growth Hack: One Line in Your Cart That Could Save the Sale

A customer gets to the cart and sees the total. Then comes the question: how much will shipping cost me?
If they have to leave the cart to find out, you have created one more reason to hesitate.
Try adding a simple shipping message based on the customer's location, something like "Shipping to your location: Free." It answers the question before they have to ask it, right next to the checkout button.
It is a small change, but this is the kind of friction worth removing at the bottom of your funnel.
Your creator program stopped working. You're the bottleneck.
It's not a criticism. It's just math.
One person can only recruit, vet, contract, manage, and pay so many creators before growth stalls.
partnrUP turns influencer marketing into a scalable creator engine. AI automates creator recruitment and campaign operations, helping brands activate more creators, generate more content, identify top performers faster, and create more opportunities to drive traffic and sales.
You focus on strategy.
The creator engine keeps running.
Challenge: Add a Location-Based Shipping Message to Your Cart
Step 1 (20 mins): Check your current cart and ask yourself what a customer can tell about shipping before they reach checkout. Can they see their location and whether shipping is free or estimated? If not, that is the gap to close.
Step 2 (20 mins): Add a simple location-based shipping message if your theme supports it. Check your theme editor under Cart settings first. Some themes have this built in already.
Step 3 (20 mins): Test the experience yourself on both desktop and mobile. Add a product to your cart and confirm the message is accurate and visible before you leave it live.
Trend: Rotating Car Seats

Rotating car seats have a base that stays bolted to the car while the seat swivels 180 or 360 degrees, letting parents buckle in a toddler facing them instead of contorting around a fixed seat. It solves one of the most complained-about parts of daily parenting, and the market agrees: one highly-rated rotating car seat on Amazon generates approximately $4.3 million in monthly revenue. The category sits inside the broader Travel Gadgets for Parents trend. Compact strollers, inflatable toddler airplane beds, and portable bottle warmers are all growing around the same idea: parents want the convenience of home, wherever they are.
3 ways to cash in on this trend:
Lead with ease without losing the safety story. Parents are not buying a rotating car seat just because it swivels. They want something that makes getting their child in and out easier while still meeting their safety needs. Make the convenience clear in your copy and creative, but keep installation guidance, fit information, and safety credentials easy to find.

(I like how IckleBubba does this with a page that uses lots of images, a shipping expectation early in the copy, a 4 year guarantee, social proof… all in a way that keeps the store on Page 1 of Google search results and getting 156 mentions in ChatGPT)
Tip: Use Plug in AI to fix technical issues preventing your product pages from ranking in Page 1 of Google search results.
Bundle for the travelling family. A rotating car seat buyer is very likely also in the market for a compact stroller, a travel bottle warmer, or an airplane bed. A curated "travel with a toddler" collection positions your store as the destination for this buyer rather than a stop for a single product, and lifts average order value without requiring new inventory.
Build around the whole travel problem. Instead of selling the car seat in isolation, create content around travelling with a baby or toddler. What do parents need for a road trip? What makes airport travel easier? That gives you multiple products to recommend while putting the car seat at the centre of a much bigger purchase journey.
Till next Monday,
Ada
