Alternative to Meta ads: Shopify’s Shop app's new traffic channel | Handling fraud orders
Happy Monday to Shopify store owners trying not to lose their minds over BCFM
Ada here, back with a 5-minute edition to help you make more money and lose less sleep.
Here’s what’s inside today:
Shopify Update: New Shopify traffic channel
Growth Hack: Stop fraud before orders ship
Weekly Challenge: Stop fraud in < 60 mins
Trend: ebike battery bags
Let’s get into it.
Modernize your marketing with AdQuick
AdQuick unlocks the benefits of Out Of Home (OOH) advertising in a way no one else has. Approaching the problem with eyes to performance, created for marketers with the engineering excellence you’ve come to expect for the internet.
Marketers agree OOH is one of the best ways for building brand awareness, reaching new customers, and reinforcing your brand message. It’s just been difficult to scale. But with AdQuick, you can easily plan, deploy and measure campaigns just as easily as digital ads, making them a no-brainer to add to your team’s toolbox.
Industry: Shopify’s Shop app has opened up a new traffic channel

If you’re running offers without enabling them inside the Shop sales channel… you might be leaving money on the table. The “Offers” feed is a dedicated space inside the Shop app where shoppers find price drops, exclusive offers, and promotions from brands.
Compared to Meta’s audience, people browsing Shop are already ready to buy. All you need to tip their decision might be just a little bit of social proof (e.g reviews). While the TAM (total addressable market) might be smaller than Meta’s, intent is higher, so you could convert quite well.
In Shop, your product offers appear in three high-visibility placements:
1️⃣ Top banner of your Shop store
2️⃣ On product detail pages
3️⃣ Inside the new Offers Feed
The gif above shows how to get your discounts listed in Shop. If “Shop” isn’t showing up, install the Shop channel first.)
And if you’ve rather just play the long-term game and optimize your store for free organic, then Plug in AI is a great tool that helps you optimize your products quickly, pretty much the same way a $3k SEO expert would.
Growth Hack: Fraud is quietly draining your store’s revenue (here’s how to stop it)
I came across this post recently…

If you’re in the same situation, here’s how to cut it off before it kills your store. On new orders marked as potentially fraudulent,
Match IP address with billing ZIP code
Check if card name = shipping name
Look at email age (new or full of numbers = fishy)
Cancel sketchy orders early
Also:
Google the shipping address on Zillow (you’d be shocked how many go to abandoned buildings or fake apartment numbers)
Watch for “fraud magnet” ZIP codes (they exist and repeat a lot)
If you’re tired of playing detective:
Use a free Shopify Flow sequence to track and stop fraudulent orders before fulfillment. Other bonus tricks smart stores use include:
OTP order confirmation for risky orders
Device + address fingerprinting
Custom bank statement codes (change a PIN monthly and ask risky buyers to confirm it)
P.S Also use apps like Keepcart to prevent coupon fraud
Block 125+ Coupon Extensions Instantly
Stop coupon extensions before they even touch your checkout. KeepCart blocks 125+ plugins like Honey, CapitalOne Shopping, and Karma from auto-applying random codes and draining your margins.
Brands like Quince and Newton use KeepCart to protect revenue and keep every sale clean.
After months of using KeepCart, Mando says “It’s paid for itself multiple times over.”
Weekly Challenge: Set up an anti-fraud Shopify flow
Take 60 minutes this week (or less) to automatically reduce fraud.
In under 1 hour:
Open Shopify Flow or your payment gateway
Set rules like:
Block mismatched country IPs
Flag high-risk ZIP codes
Force verification for risky orders
Enable 3DS for suspicious cards
Here’s a YouTube video that shows how to do this:
Trending Product: Ebike Battery Bags

Ebike sales are exploding (1.6M+ sold this year) and nearly all of them have removable batteries. That means riders quickly run into a problem: “How do I carry a spare?”
Enter: Ebike Battery Bags, a fast-growing niche generating up to $30K/mo for Amazon sellers.
They’re trending because.. (great angles for your ads, btw)
Ebikes typically max out around 65 miles
Riders want longer routes (touring, camping, commuting)
Fire-safe bags are becoming a must-have
More than 15% of Americans now own an Ebike
How to make money from this trend
Here are two high-impact ways Shopify stores can tap into the Ebike wave before year-end:
1. Bundle Ebike accessories into giftable holiday kits
Create “Ebike Essentials Bundles” that package spare battery bags, protective covers, anti-theft locks, tool kits or maintenance wipes. Position them as: “The Perfect Gift for New Ebike Owners”, “Winter-Ready Ebike Kit” etc
Bundles increase AOV, reduce decision paralysis, and perform extremely well in holiday gifting campaigns.
2. Partner with Amazon Influencers + TikTok Gear Reviewers
Electric bike creators LOVE reviewing gear… especially storage, safety, and long-range accessories. And shoppers trust these reviews more than brand ads.
Till next Monday,
Ada
